Ahmed Barakat

Ahmed Barakat heads the Corporate, Commercial, and Employment Teams. Before joining Alliance Law, he worked with prestigious law firms and multinational organizations in Egypt and the UAE, including leadership roles at Albwardy Group-Dubai and Lafarge-Holcim Middle East and Africa.

He brings to the firm over 30 years of experience in corporate law, in addition to his extensive expertise in company law, trade law, employment law, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, risk management, and complex litigation.

Ahmed has a deep understanding of aligning legal, compliance, and business needs, making him a key figure in organizational transformation and restructuring. He is highly skilled in handling contracts and agreements related to M&A, such as SPAs, escrow agreements, and trade licenses, and has managed large-scale litigation. Furthermore, he has a proven track record in forming and managing legal departments, transforming legal teams into business-focused units, and overseeing law firms globally.
